I see "HWID mismatch" — how to reset
Your key is bound to a previous PC fingerprint. One-click reset in the dashboard; 24-hour cooldown.
HWID stands for hardware ID — a fingerprint derived from your motherboard serial, CPU ID, and primary disk serial. Each key binds to one HWID on first use to keep account sharing in check.
Reset path: sign into /dashboard, open the Keys panel, click your key, hit Reset HWID. The next time you launch the loader on your new (or repaired) machine, it'll bind to the new HWID and unlock.
24-hour cooldown. You can only reset once per day to prevent abuse. The button is greyed out with a countdown timer if you're inside the window.
Genuine emergency overrides. If your motherboard RMA'd, you reinstalled Windows, or your CPU died and you need to play tonight, open a ticket in #support on Discord with your order ID — we waive the cooldown manually within the hour.
Why we don't auto-detect a "same PC, fresh Windows" case. A fresh Windows install changes the disk serial and the CPU's ProcessorInfo guid in a way that's indistinguishable from a brand new PC. We err on the side of asking you to reset rather than silently letting key-sharing slide.
