I see "Network error" on sign-in

Almost always a transient connectivity blip — here's the diagnostic order and the fix per cause.

"Network error" on the sign-in screen has three common causes, in order of frequency:

1. Transient connectivity blip (most common). Wait 10 seconds and retry. If it works on retry, nothing was wrong on our end — your ISP or DNS resolved the request the second time.

2. Corporate VPN / ad-blocking DNS. Pi-hole, NextDNS, and some corporate VPNs occasionally block getnimbus.net because the domain is new-ish (registered 2025). Whitelist *.getnimbus.net in your DNS filter or disable the VPN briefly. Cloudflare's 1.1.1.1 does not block us.

3. Actual server outage. Check /status — if any component is yellow or red, that's the cause. We post live updates on #patch-status in Discord within 60 seconds of an outage trigger.

If none of the above match, take a screenshot of the error, note the exact time, and open a ticket from your dashboard.
