Discord roles — Customer, Lifetime, VIP, Affiliate

What each role unlocks and how to qualify. Auto-granted by the bot — no manual request.

The Nimbus Discord uses roles to gate access to customer-only channels and to surface priority customers to staff. Roles are granted automatically by the bot when you link your Discord to your account (see How to link your Discord account) — there is no manual request flow.

Customer role. Granted automatically the moment you link your Discord on a Nimbus account with any active license (Day, Week, Month, or Lifetime). Unlocks:

#support — the main support channel. Median first reply under 20 minutes during business hours.
#patch-status — automated patch detection and re-resolve notifications. Pings @PatchPing on each stage transition.
#general — customer chat. The bulk of the day-to-day server activity.
#bug-reports — structured bug-report threads.

When your license expires, the Customer role is removed within 24 hours of expiry (the bot runs a daily sync). Renewing the license auto-restores it within 60 seconds of the renewal landing.

Lifetime role. Granted automatically for Lifetime tier customers, in addition to the Customer role. Unlocks the above plus:

#priority-support — staff-watched channel with a 5-minute median first reply. Lifetime customers are not held to the standard SLA — questions go directly to senior staff.
#lifetime-lounge — Lifetime-only chat. Lower-volume, higher-signal discussion, occasional early features previews.
• Priority routing for ticket triage on the dashboard.

Lifetime never expires, so the role is permanent unless your account is revoked.

VIP role. Issued manually by senior staff. Not for sale. Most VIPs are: long-tenure Lifetime customers (12+ months) who've contributed materially to the community (bug reports that shipped, feature requests that landed, public testimonials), or partner content creators with established reach in the Marvel Rivals scene. Roughly 0.5% of customers hold this role at any time. VIP unlocks:

#vip-feedback — direct line to the founder for feature prioritization.
• Early access to unreleased features in private builds.
• An invitation to the annual Nimbus end-of-year private retrospective.

VIP is not a paid tier and cannot be purchased. Asking for it counts against you.

Affiliate role. Granted automatically once you generate your first conversion in the affiliate program (affiliate-program-getting-started). Unlocks:

#affiliate-lounge — affiliate-only chat. Share what's working, ask about payout edge cases, get tips on positioning.
#affiliate-payouts — automated payout notifications when your monthly withdrawal processes.
• Access to the affiliate-only promotional materials beyond what's on the dashboard.

The role is sticky — once granted, it stays even if your monthly conversions drop to zero. The only way to lose it is affiliate-status revocation, which only happens for the policy breaches in the affiliate guide.

Stacking. The roles are not mutually exclusive. A Lifetime + Affiliate customer holds both roles plus the base Customer role; a VIP Lifetime Affiliate holds all four. Higher-priority routing wins for tickets — staff see the highest-tier role first when scanning support.

Roles I don't have but think I should. If you bought a Lifetime and don't see the Lifetime role within 5 minutes, your Discord may not be linked yet — re-run the linking flow from your dashboard. If the role still doesn't grant after the bot ran its daily sync, ticket us with your Discord username and order ID; manual fixes take under an hour.

Discord is the fastest path — median first reply under 20 minutes. The chat widget in the bottom-right also works.
